At first I was dissapointed with the Winter Grey but like fine wine (or bad sangria) I have come to appreciate it. It does definitely change depending on light and viewing angle and it definitley makes the car look more expensive i.e. German. I notice many German makes BMW's, MB's and Audis are offered in a very similar color (and it is very popular according to my MB dealer friend). I think Toyota may have had this in mind when choosing to offer this color. It is hard to keep clean though.
I have the black prius and people have commented that it looks grey at night, funny. I really liked the 2008 grey prius color. Was it called graphite or something?
That's ok, everytime my winter grey is in service at the dealer who I bought it from, the work order comes back saying its blue.
According to the colour code, it is blue-based. The "8" as the first digit indicates that it's in the blue family (same as Blue Ribbon)
