Just had a JVC KW-XR810 Bluetooth stereo, JL Audio 8" subwoofer and JL Audio JX360/2 amp installed in my new Prius II. Sounds WONDERFUL... awesome bass!! It was a little scary to allow them to cut a hole in my new car (hatchback floor), but it looks and sounds great! My iPhone works great with it, and I can't believe how much better the sound is from the factory speakers with the new head unit.
I can imagine. Did they give you an option or did you consider just concealing it under the floor? Any rattles?
The only other option they presented was to get a Kicker sub, but the JL sounded better when I listened to them side by side. No rattles, and it sounds great.
The headunit looks really like a very old 8-track tape. No other options for a different one ? The woofer sounds great for sure.
Oh, that is funny!! I can see what you mean, but trust me...it looks much better when it's on! You can set the controls to any colors you want, and the display gives info about what is playing, shows the menu, etc.

I am also thinking of places to put a mono amp for a 10 inch sub.. I was thinking of putting it in there but how do you have access to the spare tire .? Also that head unit looks ugly.. sorry..
