wheels and hubcaps

    I've recently lost a hubcap from my 2010 Prius III and discovered that the wheel is more attractive than the hubcap. I'm thinking of removing the remaining hubcaps and wonder if that would adversely affect my fuel economy. Thanks

    I did the same and got electrical knockout plugs (I believe 1 3/4 inch) from Ace to fill in the center holes. I painted them with Silver paint and clear coat and they look great. I'll never go back to the hubcaps, but have stowed them in my attic so they go with the car when it is sold.

    I also agree i like the wheels better than with the hub caps now i know what size caps to get, thanks!

    FAR prefer the wheels uncovered and I even sprung for the Toyota center caps.

    I like the wheels under the hubcaps better too. Lowe's had the knockout plugs. I have not noticed any difference in the fuel mileage since I hung the hubcaps up on the barn wall.
