I agree. As brilliant as writers make a character such as Homer Simpson do and say stupid things, they could never match the reality of the stupid things Palin does and says.

And I remember when we considered Dan Quayle the epitome of stupid.

 

You mean Dan Quayle's stupidity pales in comparison to Palin's.

That's exactly what I meant.

Look at it this way: First there was Bush the First, who while he was never considered stupid, was certainly not MENSA material.

Then came Quayle, who, let's face it, was dumber than a box of rocks.

Then came Bush the Second, who made Quayle look - maybe not like Einstein, at least halfway intelligent.

Now comes Palin, who DOES make Bush the Second look like Einstein.

At least the Republicans are planning ahead - they know it will take a lot of work to make Palin look smart by comparison, so they already have Michele Bachmann in the wings.

 

I knew before reading this thread that it would be full of cheap shots and personal attacks. I was not disappointed.
