I am surprised it takes 91 Octane premium, and that it gets regen off the rear axle.

I am hoping both of those are wrong, personally.

Is it just me or do they not discuss a Prius v 4? I only see the Prius v 2, 3 and 5.

    [sarcasm]
    Prius v II not confusing
    Prius v III not confusing
    Prius v IV confusing
    Prius v V not confusing
    [/sarcasm]

If they did have a model v 4 how many times would they have to explain that it did not have a v-4 engine propelling it? The name v invites confusion.

Ok, I got word that there is no Prius v Four (And the numbers are spelled out now) so it is:

    2012 Prius v Two
    2012 Prius v Three
    2012 Prius v Five

There is no '4'... The specs for the Prius v were alligned as much as possible with the models that line up with the 2011 Prius.

That's correct. No Prius v Four at launch.

Also, while 91 Octane is recommended by the factory, however, the vehicle will perform fine with 87 Octane.

Is this a leak that indicates that the same 1.8 HSD will be used in the Matrix HSD and Sienna HSD?

They must have changed the final gear ratio. With the extra weight (due to the size), the acceleration remains the same as Gen2 Prius. It is really a wise trade off.

I wonder what kind of MPG hit there would be with 87 octane gas

Reading and seeing more about the Prius v makes me want the CT200h less for some reason.

I would not expect it to get less MPG, I would expect it to ping more when accelerating.

Any idea on price ranges or did I miss that? That was a lot of information. Regardless, Prius v Five with ATP, here I come. Now I just have to decide what color. I think I will stick with Blizzard Pearl since white is the safest color car to have (least likely color to be struck by another vehicle by a factor of 8).

    Great. Just great.
While I was personally checking out the Prius v, Paradox was here scooping the specs. I missed all the info fun.

In Danny's writeup, he said someone at Toyota mentioned it could be approx. $3000 over a similarly equipped Prius. So A Prius v Five loaded with Entune, AT etc may be right around $40,000 after taxes etc.

Great, because Prius owners do not like Premium gas at all and I am hoping the Prius plug-in to recommend regular gas.

I signed up for a PHV and I was thinking about which color with, blizzard pearl or classic silver. I have never had a speeding ticket until I start driving a white camry. I guess it is easier to be seen by police with radar guns and by other drivers to avoid accidents, a nice trade off.

    No reason it should not.
