    depends on how many miles per year you drive. if you drive 12,000 per year, it will probably take you 10 years or so. but these things are not about payback, they are about investing in the future and the fun, excitement and enjoyment knowing you are part of the solution, instead of part of the problem!:rockon:

    bisco I am in total agreement I really bought the kit because I thought it would be fun to tinker with and enjoy when I go somewhere and am asked what king of mileage am I getting. The expression on there face is priceless when I say i'm avg 101 mpg but my best 20 mile trip was 215mpg. There jaws drop and you see the brick exit there rectum :D

    When you need a replacement part under warranty, who will get that part for you? Does the installer do that, or do you? And who pays for the labor for installing warranty parts? Is that free or do you have to pay for that, too.

    Here are some additional things you should know about getting a system installed by ReGo in Minneapolis. I think their value added service is worth the $4, 995 price.
    ReGo provides a 1yr labor warranty. They also stock parts on site. They are your point of contact; you will not have to call Enginer directly or chase down parts or pay shipping. They pre-test all their systems before installing them. They upgrade the systems for winter weather. They also help customers by providing a useful manual and behind the wheel assistance. Lastly, they are available for you to answer any additional system questions before and after the sale. (Full disclosure I install ReGo's systems here in the Madison area.)

    When I first purchased system my installer told me I would be responsible for having warranty issues resolved but after great discussion with him he told me if I had any problems to just contact him and he would do what he had too. I have had a small problem with system since install my bms has a log error and we have been trouble shooting it for past couple of days. So as of right now I would say that he is taking care of any problems that I have encountered.

    What's the max speed in pure EV? Any other complaints from the kit? Will this kit shorten the life of the electric motor? Thanks in advance.

    Pure ev max speed is 34 mph before it kicks you out but when you are up to speed I have been able to go many miles with car at 41 mph in straight electric. At 42 mph motor always seems to want to kick in.No major complaints from kit yet. Being that I live in Florida cooling seems to be a big concern now that it is really heating up.Working on a cooling solution as we speak. Others have made mods that work with cooling issue but I am one for aesthetics and can not have my car looking like a prototype.Will say Enginer kit is a 90+% reliable system that will have its problems but compared to other systems that are 99%+ reliable about 1/4 the cost.

    1 Week update System is working except for bms display and log reader neither works.I drove 59 miles today on 1 full charge and a .6 kw charge at my buddies shop and avg 172 mpg!! Sorry about poor photo quality did not realize flash was on. Also if you can make it out can you see where I caught the bridge ;D

    So after being told to check scangauge for errors I realized I only avg 136 mpg not the 172 I quoted sorry for the misquote. Guess I should have ran through all the parameters of scan gauge before I posted.

    So your earlier claim of 215mpg was wrong? That made more sense because to get 215mpg for a good distance from an Enginer kit, you gotta do some major hypermiling.

    Actualy that I accomplished I've also done a 203mpg trip over 14 miles from Clearwater beach to st Pete beach max speed over whole trip never exceeds 35mph

    We can sit here and brag who got the highest MPG on a trip. Hell, I can get over 500mpg if I drive 8 miles when the only fuel used was the initial warm up. Sure I have to pull up over and let Eninger to recharge the HV pack but it is possible. I still think short trips with high MPG is not as impressive as the tank average. I've given up on the whole 100+MPG. Weather's getting hot so I have to use AC. My battery is down to 2kw. My range shrink down to 17miles. The roads I take wont allow hypermiling due to traffic lights at 1/4 mile to 1/2 miles. The speed limits are 45 to 55mph where people drive at least 10 MPH faster than posted speed limit. I was like you when I first got my kit. I tried to achieve maximum MPG and I ended up frying the converter. The pain of waiting for a replacement part is just not worth squeezing that extra MPH. When you achieve 1,200 miles on a single tank with out anything breaking, then I'll be really impressed. Good luck and have FUN FUN FUN and laugh at people at the pump.

    cp seriously I am not bragging I am just updating my first tank experiences with enginer kit! It is a little exciting to avg 200+mpg's for the first time so I post sorry if this irritates you but I feel I have the right to post this information.Trust me no need to brag. I do not have the nicest car here, I am not the best hypermiler here just wanting to share first experience with kit.

    It's cool. I know the feeling of getting triple digit MPG for the first time. But do let us know how the first tank goes.

    Yep, I know the area. In-laws lived in St. Pete and I also did some work out of Tierra Verde island. IIRC, the biggest hill was the garbage dump. lol :lol:

    Well It's been three weeks today since install and still working on first tank of gas 845 miles and counting. scangauge is reading 109mp's for an avg but will have to see as it is not 100% calibrated it reads that I have driven only 824? I guess I need to adjust speedometer in kph to get a more exact reading.According to scangauge I should be able to go another 480 miles which would give me the 1200+ miles you said I should shoot for cp!
    I have had a few glitches already with system my bms acted up and my charger is not charging properly in daytime hours? I am guessing that is down to Florida heat because in the evening if I let system cool off I will get a full charge.
