I think we need a Cliff Notes version of this thread....whew! If the dealership went from $4700 to $1700, I too would be very curious to where that $3k went. As someone else mentioned, did Corporate step in? I sure hope they aren't flim-flamming and trying to put a used/salvaged/remanufactured unit into your car and making it seem as though it's a new one.

As others have played with the $5 donation, bikini pics, etc. I have to say that for people that are very close friends/family, if I knew someone was really in a bind, I would offer to help with anything I could. I've loaned money to friends before, never charged a dime in interest, and some cases never cared if I got paid back. If there was one thing I learned from my parents while they were still alive, it's not about what you have personally, but if someone needs help, you help them. Not to steal someone's user name here, but sometimes, really itsnotaboutthemoney .

Sorry, I don't know you personally, so no help here lol. But, if you were close to here and needed a ride or whatever, I would have been glad to help out. It may have been on a Harley a few times, but hey, that's more fun that driving a Prius anyway! I wish you the best of luck with the parents, and really hope you get back to those high MPG sooner than later.

Ya know, with the bikini talk earlier, you could get some of your female friends and do a bikini car wash LOL. It always works out great in the movies.....

I like the idea of selling the LB's truck and paying to get your car fixed

 

That wouldn't be a bad idea a Prius car wash photo shoot you could ask for donations for photo's. Theres enough trolls on this web site that would pay you would have money for a new prius in no time:der:
