Recently Skoorbmax and StevO made reference to what their tombstones would say. I thought that interesting enough to begin a thread for everyone to indicate what they would like their tombstones to say. Of course, you can change it any time you want, but not after you're dearly departed. I'd like my tombstone to say, "I told you I was sick!"
It's up to my survivors, but I'm not keen on having a tombstone. I'd rather have ashes spread in a favourite mountain location, or maybe on a beach. That way, assuming anyone wants to 'visit', it'll be a beautiful place full of life and fond memories, and not some formal, manicured place full of dead people.
I've always gotten a kick out of photographer Alfred Stieglitz' epitaph; "He lived for better or worse but he's dead for good" However, I don't plan on taking up that much space.
I want to be a tree when I grow up. And then live a thousand years. Graves, caskets and tombstones are boring.
You at least had a Prius-related quote. I thought for certain at least half the posts to this thread would be about Prius; i.e. "The best hypermiler FOREVER", or "Recharging my hybrid battery" lol...
I'm actually planning on being donated to a body farm. My little marker, however, should say: "Only the shell is here - the nut is gone"
If you're considering donating your body to science, here's one option. I've seen BodyWorld exhibits before, and they are both fascinating and highly educational. There may also be programs at local Universities for use in the medical departments.
I don't want one... If you don't want to make me one, I won't be offended... Not that YOU CARE... HELL... Wait a minute... Ummmm... What was the question Bra... Oh yeah... no marker from me... If you folks don't think I need one, well OK, but, I don't. Oh... and I already have given my body to UC for studies...
