I waited too long, but think I did okay. I pick up my new 2011 White Prius II on Tuesday. Saturday I paid $23,600 cash with the 2 year free maintainence included. List price was $24,250. I made the purchase in Worcester MA. I also have a 2007 Tundra, and a 2002 Tacoma, but thought a prius will cut down on me and my wifes $720 a month gas bill. I love the experienced people in the Toyota forums, and would like feed back of what you all think of my deal. Did I get one??? , or did I get taken for a ride ??
Sounds like a good price to me, I paid $23k many years ago for my 2005, so maybe I got taken! Welcome to PriusChat.
I don't understand why people fret so much. Even if you overpaid by 1k, divide that by 5 years and you get 200 bucks a year too much, divide it by 12 and its 16.6 dollars a month. Considering you are going to save several hundred a month in gas I think you come out ahead regardless. Congrats.
Welcome aboard! I paid 22.8K(MSRP at the time) for my 2010 II in July 09. Considering the current situations, I think you did just fine.
Yep. I don't think many are going to get "thousands off" anytime soon. If you are happy, then it was a good deal. Like it was said, you will likely be saving over 500 a month in fuel cost.
Did I get one??? , or did I get taken for a ride You got a deal. In my area the dealers now advertise "call for price". Which I assume means "list price" is not an option.
Thanks to all for the reply, I feel good about the purchase. I will pick car up at Harr Toyota in Worcester, MA sometime this week.
Congrats on your new Prius and welcome to PriusChat:welcome: What we think (about price) doesn't matter. More importantly, you have your Prius so don't worry, be happy...you'll soon enjoy high MPGs, technology and low emissions!
Sounds like you did good! At this time with gas raising and vehicles in short supply, anything under MSRP is a deal!
