I can't find any reference to a fuel filter in my 2011 Prius IV. Is there one? Where the heck is it? What is the required "change" mileage? Also, does my IV have a cabin filter? Where is IT? THANKS, John
Look in section 4.3 of your manual for air conditioning filter. It will show you how to change it. Page 457. Sorry I can't tell you about the fuel filter.
Tried that and it wasn't there; tried again, and it still wasn't there. There is a reference to the "air conditioning filter" on pg 288, but it doesn't give you even a hint of where it is. Anyone else have any idea ? Still looking for a fuel filter too
PS, it would be helpful if you change your user profile to show what vehicle you drive so when you post other users can quickly see what your are driving just in case you don't mention it.
I did a simple forum search and found your fuel filter answer. Prius 2010 Fuel Filter The 2010 is the same as the 2011.
OP: you remove the lower glove box to get to the cabin filter. First carefully disconnect the dampener piston (black plastic) from the box. Then carefully with a flat screwdriver pry each side of the plastic frame next to the sides of the glovebox until the tab on the glovebox can come forward. Once both are forward, lift up and out with the glovebox off of the lower hinge. You will then see a white plastic rectangular cover behind it. The right side has a release tab to gain access to the cabin filter. Be sure the filter is replaced the same way it was extracted.
