Thinking back to the first months of 2009 Prius ownership, I have no recollection of new ownership surveys for the car. Couple days ago I just did a 2nd survey from a research firm about the Accord. It's smart to do a survey after 3 months of ownership because more impressions are formed by then. First month of ownership might just be honeymoon phase on a new car. Does anyone else remember doing one or two satisfaction surveys after buying your Prius new or used?
I received a satisfaction survey from Toyota about two weeks after buying my Prius. The dealership people pleaded with me to give them excellent ratings or they would get in trouble with Toyota. This particular dealership really did an excellent job so I was able to honestly give them good ratings. I agree that a few months later I probably would have answered several of the questions differently, with the honeymoon period being over. Also I would be rating my local dealership, which I have a much lower opinion, than the dealership where I purchased the car.
I recall getting a survey similar to what was described above.. and my dealer also specifically requested high ratings, which probably caused me to rate them more stringently than I would have otherwise.
I received e-mails for two surveys which I completed on-line. The 1st was primarily about the dealer. The 2nd was about the car.
My experience was the same as JimN. I was honest in my responses, don't know if anyone on the receiving end appreciated that.......
I received 2 online surveys from a 3rd party. First at about 1 month, 2nd about 3 1/2 months. Crazy thing, I just got another survey in the mail today for the Accord. A very long one. Maritz Research out of Toledo OH.
