Have you checked the bluebook value of your car on kbb.com or edmonds.com? I know you probably just bought this car recently, but unfortunately you are never going to get what you are asking. You are at least a couple of thousand above even dealer retail, and only a $1,000 below the buy it new price. Of course, if you wait another couple of months, fully loaded models may be in short supply.

Good luck with the sale. :)
There are always people looking for clean, low mileage, no-issue G3's. Your asking price may be a little high, but you have the advantage of a seller's market, and it appears that you have the added advantage of not being in a hurry to unload the car.
If gas prices continue to rise, you may get lucky!

Have patience, you'll definitely sell it. The only pricing issue to consider is that your 2010 Prius is a previous year model though you bought it a few months ago. Try posting on Marketplace forum, Craig's List and quite frankly, put a for sale in the window and take it to the office a few times. Some advice that works...don't advertise price. Make potential buyers call you.

    Best wishes.

A capitalistic society at its finest! Sell for what the market will bear, if he does, more power to him because he will have probably turned a profit!

Yep. It would be great if you could pull off the price. I suspect you have built in a discount, knowing people will want to offer less. The v's are scarce in some places.

I'd sell mine for $34,000! Of course, I've had mine for 2 years and 12,000 miles, instead of 4 months and 2,600 miles...:D

as a buyer...that practice does not work for me.
that is...i assume that because the price is not prominently listed/displayed, that it's unrealistically high, so i don't bother wasting my time calling.

I am looking to get 34000.[/QUOTE]
Hate to be a spoiler... but that is't going to happen even with those low miles.
We just bought a new one that is coming in, 2011 V model for $31,007 Had the works on it.

I don't see someone buying it and paying more than they would for a new one with zero miles on it. Would you?

Since it is a year old, you could easily get around $28,000.

    I bought a 2010 with 35,000 miles on it for $18,200. http://cdn.priuschat.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
So your numbers are quite not what you would like to hear.. Sorry to point it out. http://cdn.priuschat.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif

They're definitely already selling for ridiculous prices here in California. If you buy at a dealership a one year old with 20,000 miles costs about the same as a brand new one: high demand, short supply.
With the fuel price hikes of the summer and the tsunami disruptions, things are likely to get worse before they get better.
Not a good time to be buying a used Prius, that's for sure.

Hi Everyone. My Prius is still for sale. I called Toyota and they told me that I can transfer the remaining payments to a third party. In other words transfer my finance/car. The payment is 565.09 and there are 58 months left. The interest rate is 0. Car currently has 4227 miles on it. PM me if there is any interest out there.
