What plugin upgrade will work in the 2010 prius? I have been looking at the Enginer Upgrade and havent been able to find, if installed in a 2010, a top speed on just electric.

I think it's 45 mph. If you read through the thread on it I'm sur eit talks about it. I got to have a ride in Dan's 2010 Prius with the Engineer kit installed, very cool to be sure. :D

Right now, only the Enginer works on Gen III. PICC and PIS are both working on Gen III but they cost over $10,000. They are better than Enginer because they are 10kw and have electric only top speed of 72mph. Regen braking also charges the battery pack. It can be driven like an EV without firing up the ICE. Enginer on the other hand, can't. It can accelerate from 0-43mph on electric alone. Haven't timed it though but it's slow. EV at 45mph is hard to do but it's possible. If you have enough charge on the HV pack, you can do EV at 75mph. I've done it once for a few hundred yards after coming down a big hill and the battery at 8 bars. The ICE spun but the MPG shows 9999 on SGII.
