This is a 2001. I just changed the struts, and the ABS light is on. I'm assuming that I must have done something to the sensor, or the cable.

I have a scangauge, but a quick scan didn't tell me anything. The manual is saying check for DTC codes, but I don't know how to get at them with the scangauge.

AFAIK, the ABS ECU is communicating at 9600 baud and there is no option for scangauge to be configured to operate at that baud rate. Unless there are newer firmware updates to include that option, all other ECUs remain unreachable.

However, you can still get the DTC without using a scantool by shorting Tc and CG.

Warning: Be careful not to short the wrong pins!

Ok, once I short the pins, what am I looking for? Is a light going to flash out the code?

If there were DTC(s) present, the ABS Warning Light on the combination meter will have a blinking pattern for the code(s). Here is an e.g. of normal code and codes 11 & 21:

If 2 or more DTCs are indicated at the same time, the lowest numbered DTC will be displayed 1st. After all DTCs are displayed, it will repeat all over again. After completing the check, pls remember to disconnect the shorts.

Just take a quick look at your work......make sure that you didn't unplug one of the wires going to your brake sensors.
