I told you the silver folk don't like to wash up. Dirty heathens! You realize that I am just jealous because my car is covered in pollen and looks terrible right now......
Do all '11s come with the plastic door bumper guards, or are more of them coming in with that as a factory option?
You are always welcome to come down to the Bay Area and ride along with me, but you can't driver her.
No. I ordered these from priusaccessories.com and installed them myself. I don't know how well they will protect my car in the long run but they look good and were easy to install. I read somewhere that these as the same as dealer OEM moldings.
 4 weeks ago yesterday, I took delivery on a 2011 Silver Prius III, no nav. Silver was not my first color choice, but it's growing on me. When I did my first "walk around the lot", the Barcelona Red jumped out at me. Sandy Beach was the second. But when I finally found a dealer I could work with, I had a choice of black and silver. I chose silver, and I have no regrets. And I think I would have regretted the Red. Less than a week after I got my car, we had a bad storm papss through, with expected hail. I was lucky, since I don't have covered parking at home. The hail missed me. <phew> Funny thing happened to me last weekend. I was out on an errand, and noticed a pink band across the top of the screen highlighting "energy monitor." When I stopped for lunch, I took out the manual to see if I could figure out what it meant. Couldn't find anything. I was prepared to call the dealer when I returned home, but when I was travelling in the opposite direction, it went away. Then I made a turn, and it came back. It started to change shape, and that's when I realized it was a reflection of something. Anyway, I am now a proud member of the "silver squadron!"
Hello Everyone!!! I just wanted to say "HI" and intorduce myself as a new member and owner. I got my 2011 about two weeks ago. One week later, I had already tinted the windows, added the chrome door moldings, got new 17'' rims and tires, installed weathertech floor liners all around, and covered all the seats with Wet Okoles. Next week comes the 3M Clear front end protection, mud guards, shark fin antenna, the rear bumper protector, and fog lights.
I have seen a couple of silver Prius around here and look pretty nice - probably my second choice, third would have been blue. Black I had to drop altogether when ordering mine, once I discovered it is not metallic.
:welcome: Nice wheels. The only thing this needs is more pictures Please post some (of the interior and the exterior in better lighting)!
Thank You.... I did alot of research on rims and tires before I bought. The ones I selected are actually 2lbs lighter than the stock 17" rims. I will post more pics as soon as I get the chance. I am also limited to posting since I dont have more that 5 post.
Just joined the forum and wanted to know if the Silver Squadron was still active. The only color group that seems really active are the Blizzard Brigade. Would like to be an official Silver Squadron member, if possible. Modding has begun. Pictures to be posted soon. Thanks
I in with the Silver Squadron. I took a long time in making a choice. I wanted a color that could be seen by other drivers so I was a bit hesitant about about the silver. But it is a very light silver and shows up quite well on the road in the summer. The Barcelona Red is nice but my wife said no. I liked the light blue on the V but was not available on the regular Pri. The other colors were just not appealing to me although the Blizzard does look nice. The sliver is a very striking color. Not at all like the Ford Taurus which to me is much too dark and dulled down. Yes the silver hides dirt well. In spite of this I washed mine (hand) for the third time this week. The only downside is that there is a HUGE amount of Silver's out there. I drove up to a stop light a couple of weeks after buying and stopped next to me was a Classic Silver Pri with "Patti The Perky Avon Lady" lettered across the back. I just wanted the light to change sooo quickly! Post to Blizzard Brigade: Introducing the Blizzard Brigade | Page 54 | PriusChat
Thought it would be good idea to take my daughter out to some local wooden bridges and spap a couple of pics (1937 bridge over Fall Creek, OR. Pegra Bridge)
