does anyone know how the temperature setting works on the air conditioners? My wife and I have a bet. I say that when you set the temperature, the car will sense the cabin temp and adjust appropriately. She says that when you set the temperature, the air coming out is that temperature. Who is right? thanks
It also senses the sunlight. There is a sensor on the dash that will increase the cooling when in direct sunlight.
You -could- take a thermometer and place it in the vent to prove you are right, but that probably wouldn't be a good idea. Just tell her she is right and let it be. You and she will be happier.
thanks for you response! that is what I thought.....maybe i call it a draw with the wife.....because I'll never win!
Try the thermometer to satisfy your own curiosity but keep the results to yourself. There is no advantage to proving a woman wrong except in a court of law, and even then there can be ugly consequences. Typical temperatures out of car AC ducts on a 100F + day with the AC set for comfort will be around 40F
