    Thanks for that, I guess...

We've been driving Honda's for 30 years, and I've never had to spring for a second set of mats. They've got pretty beat, but still ok. My 2 cents: Toyota's not spec'ing decent, durable carpet, and getting mixed grades from their contractors, ie: some ok, some not.

My wife's 2007 Honda Accord does not have this issue with the driver's floor mat. This is the first car that I have had that the floor mat wore this quickly.

And like you said in a previous post, you cannot buy just the driver's mat from Toyota you have to purchase all four.

I had to replace the drivers floor mat on my HCHII after two years. Burned right through it and into the carpeting. I have not noticed the problem with the Prius after 10,000 miles, but my current job doesn't reqiure me to wear dress shoes with a hard heel, either.

A bit over 1 year and 17000 km's, I don't know: will likely have to look to third part mats soon. This is the first vehicle we've had where the OEM driver's mat did not have a rubber insert around the zone where your heel rests.

Was a nice sunny Sunday here, anyway. Actually snowed a few flakes in the morning, then got up to around 6C by afternoon.

Maybe you should get a set of all weather floor mats!, they are finally available, i just bought some..., it might hold up better since they are made completely of rubber ;)

One of the dealers I've been to, said they can warranty the mats if they wear through completely.
