 I returned from a 3-week trip to Germany, only to find that my Yaris had been vandalized and towed away. I took a taxi to the Toyota dealer, and they accepted the Yaris as a trade-in sight unseen! I did tell them about the damage. They had about 20 Yarii on the lot, but were selling quickly. So, now I've driven it maybe 20 miles, and I find I'm always watching the energy display instead of the road. The MPG display seems to always show either 100 or 30. It will take some getting used to, and of course I should read the manual. I'm a little disappointed that my iPod won't work with it as the sales guy said. But I know I can get a cable somehow.
Congratulations!! You will have many years of enjoyment with your new Prius. The IPOD connection is inside the center console. You just need the connection cable and your IPOD will sound great!
Hello, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you already are amazed with your new car! I still am amazed with mine.
Aloha and Welcome, Sorry about your Yaris. But glad you joined the Prius family. Let us know your observations and thoughts give kinda give us a comparison from your old car to the Prius. Enjoy!
I guess I should have mentioned I had already decided to get a Prius before finding out about my Yaris getting messed up.
There's an audio input in the center console, yes. But somewhere I read that there is available a special iPod cable that charges it and let's you control it from the steering wheel, all while it's in the glove box.
How about that...another new Prius finds a happy home. Congrats and welcome to PriusChat. Yikes, when you said Yaris, I was thinking Yugo! ugghh... I had heard that the Yugo's rear window de-icer was designed to be a hand warmer. lol... Read your Prius owner's manual, search the threads and have tons of fun.
