I already started posting, but I thought I'd say hi! I just bought a 2010 CPO Prius IV w/o NAVI on Tuesday. It's Classic Silver with dark grey leather interior. So far I love it! I didn't think that I would because I was giving up my favorite car (a 2002 Highlander Limited - fully loaded). At least my new car gets MUCH better MPG and still has leather seats. Yup^ I wanted it CPO instead of just used. They cleaned it up real nice, and it runs great! It seriously looks and smells like a brand new car, but for less. The dealer was too much like a used car salseman for my taste, but whatever. I got $730 off of what they were asking for, and I didn't cave in for the extra warranty and theft crap. Thanks for the welcome!
It's not nice to "one up" your parents, but well done! You may think you're familiar with Prius, but be sure to read the owner's manual. Enjoy the high MPGs, technology and low-emissions.
Ha! I know. My mom keeps telling me how jealous she is every time I come to visit her. And I have read that manual cover-to-cover. Lot of good info in there. I just filled up the tank for the first time on Saturday evening. I'll see how far it takes me as I commute at least 50 miles a day, including a bit more than that on weekends. I also had my windows tinted yesterday, and now the car feels "right". I took some pics, but have to upload them...
Um, so I tried to search for this on here and Google to no avail: Is the under console lighting that is in my 2010 Prius IV after market? I bought it used, and I don't see them listed as a feature on Toyota's website. The lights are orange and dim on and off when I get in or out.
Anybody have an answer to my question above? ^ And is it hard to replace that bulb with a blue light? Don't care much for the orange...
I'm assuming it's aftermarket and no has experience with changing out the light. You might have to tackle this yourself and report results back to PC for future use.
That's the footwell lighting. It's on while in D and the parking or headlights are on and brighter when in Park or when the doors are opened. I believe HIMPG may have a solution. He used one from a Lexus. It's cool white. You won't be able to get it in blue.
