Ive used them, fast shipping, cheap prices and the items actually work. Not Phillips but a great budget alternative.

just installed the slim Xentec.. and also with a relay system.. Worked great. One ballst started flickering ever so slightly and the supplier ended up sending me another ballast! for $35 you CANT go WRONG! unless the ballast fries your electrical system without a relay.

Where did you get the relay and how much? How hard to install realy? Soldering required or plug & play?

the relay was pretty much plug and play. i got it for $8 on ebay. I'll post some photos of my xentec and foglights. I got the 6000K bulbs but they are a bit too bluish. I would recommend going with he 5000K which is pure white and more OEM looking.

I have been using them in 2 cars now for a couple years. Shouldn't need a relay for the 35W models as overall HID are more efficient than standard halogens and don't require as much power to fire. That's what the ballast is for. It does all the pumping up of power for the bulb to ignite. I have only dealt with a guy that goes by OrangeMika on eBay. He has been great each and every time. Have ordered different color bulbs from him a few times just to change it up and he is always super speedy. I have the slim ballasts in my wife's car and standard in mine. Not a huge difference size wise.

yes that is the kit... get H11 harness. it is farily easy. only one of the original connector is used as the "trigger" to the relay harness. The other connector doesnt get used and should be taped with electrical tape to protect the ends.

I read some bad reviews about the Xentec HID's. I got the Xtec kit off ebay and it should be delivered tonight (I'm still at work). It was a little more expensive, but the reviews, at least on Ebay, were better.

there is always the risk of a getting a faulty ballast or bulb. the guy off ebay is great on RMA's so you dont have to worry. definately test the lights and ensure its not flickering before buttoning up the connections and mounting.

I got a pair of Xentec that I havent installed yet. I did install a pair on my parents' car. The bulb flickers and the color is totally off. I ordered 4300k the bastard send me 8000k. By the time I got them, he had deleted all of his auctions so I couldn't leave any feedbacks. He's no longer a registered use so i couldn't get my money back.

I got my Ztec's installed. Only been in for a day but they are pretty sweet. They look like a solid HID kit two, I don't think I'll have any problems with them.

I also just finished putting in my auto dimming mirror with Homelink. I have the solar roof, but I didn't have any problems getting it in.

Just Installed a Xentec Slim HID Kit

My first post. I just installed a Xentec 4300k (supposedly) slim HID Xenon kit in my Gen III Prius II. Posted a video of the mod as I installed it, but b/c this is my first post, I can't provide the link yet. The digital ballast is different than the older and larger ballast kit (like the one installed by Hawkmoon) who had to install relay wiring kit to the battery. Mine installed directly into the existing wires for the headlights, each ballast using each harness.

I also grabbed frames from the HD footage to help document installation (which included removing the coolant reservoir on the passenger side, which helped make the HID bulb less difficult to install). And, I had to modify the H11 bulbs, which are plastic base and no ceramic.

Re: Just Installed a Xentec Slim HID Kit

I know this is an old thread but did anyone have a problem with their Xentec H11's fitting into the headlight housing? I have a set that's been on one of my other cars for 4-5 years and no problems hence why I went with them again. However, with this new set I can't even get the bulb in.

    Hey folks,

I just bought a Prius setup with this kit, got home and noticed major headlight problems.

    Problem
Only the driver's side headlight works. The driver side brights don't work. The passenger side regular lights and bright lights don't work.

    Setup
I've got the 35 watt Xentec ballasts.

Any idea what's going on or where I should check next?
