How do I change the 24 hr clock setting on a Prius with a navigation system to a 12 hr setting? There are no instructions in the manual.

    Thanks

I guess my question would be why you would want to change this when it is not displayed anywhere that I am aware of?

    Howzit,

The procedure you seek should start on page 203 of your owners manual (Setting up the displays). Do steps 1&2, then turn to page 204 then do steps 1&2 for the task Selecting 12h/24h clock display. Hope that's what you were looking for and hope it helps. I keep mine on the 24h clock setting.

It is also displayed as the arrival time at the destination, if set up that way.

To the OP my bad I should have read the post and thread title better. My instructions were for the clock on the MID not the NAV. But let me research that one and I will get back to you.

Are you talking about the clock on the MID on the dash or the NAV? I interpreted the OP as asking about the time on the NAV. I do not have the time displayed on my NAV.

I did not know that. Mine displays ETA but not actual real clock time. I need to check on this.

It shows ETA. My point was, if the clock is in 24 hr mode, the ETA will also be in 24 hr mode.

Mine is set up the same way yours is, travel time vice arrival time. You can change it but I think you need to have a destination selected and be on the route to do so. It is mentioned on page 81 of the nav manual. I like in the travel time mode because it doesn't automatically change time zones.

I haven't seen the clock mentioned by Billinmd. I'll look again today but I don't think I have a clock on the nav screen. Could it have been added by a more recent version of the software? mine is 08.1.

Sorry, as I stated above, I wasn't implying that there was a clock. But, if you are in 24 hour mode, the ETA will also be in 24 hour mode. That was the point I was trying to make.

OK, now I think I understand too. So if you change the clock to 12h or 24h using the disp button will that also change the nav system arrival time clock?

My NAV doesn't have an option for a 24h clock, I just went out and checked.. It only asks me time zone and DST on/off.

    Bill and Tumbleweed,

Thanks for checking on this. I only remembered the time zone and DST.

Mine either only allows you to select time zone and DST on/off as mentioned above. NAV clock setting pgs. 257-258 in NAV manual. I keep my car clock on the MID in 24hr. mode and it has no effect on the times displayed in the NAV system for estimated arrival time to destination. When on route and using guidance mode it will display the estimated arrival time, if selected using the 12hr clock format with AM/PM.
