what does the ct200h have that a loaded Prius doesn't have?

    I can only think of:
    *sport mode handling and throttle response (but seems to make little difference)
    * sportier tuned handling
    * dual zone a/c
    * auto off delay headlamps
    * defoggers for outside mirrors
    * power seats w/ memory option
    * 10 speaker stereo (Prius best is 8)
    * Enform (like fancier Onstar)
    * Leather Package: memory seats, dimming and tilting side mirrors, rain sensing wipers
    * backup camera in mirror
    * glass break sensor
    * Lexus warranty

    The only thing really attractive on that list is the memory seats and the warranty.

    But you can't get on the ct200h these Prius features/options:
    * Lane Keep Assist
    * Parking guidance
    * Plasmacluster ionizer (?!)
    * bigger cargo area
    * bigger backseat area (?)
    * Prius, because it weighs less and it more aerodynamic is faster and more fuel efficient

    The Prius seems so much better than the CT200h. Am i missing anything?

    CT200h has double wishbone rear suspension. The chassis was highly stiffed and there are both front and rear lateral performance dampers to absorb vibration and noise.

    CT200h chief engineer who worked on LS600h described the difference between Prius and CT200h in term of food. They both use the same ingredients but cooked differently.

    CT200h has auto rain sensing wiper option.

    as i sad on clublexus, it is like comparing Avalon to GS and concluding that Avalon is so much better car because you read some paper with the specs.

    CT200h is an luxury vehicle made by Lexus. It has considerably more luxurious interior built with considerably more expensive materials. Its seats are considerably better than Prius. It drives and handles and feels considerably better than Prius.

    For any Prius owner who ever though "why is this plastic here looking like that", they can now sit in CT200h and see it doesnt have to be like that.

    -power fold down LCD/Nav screen
    -very nice mouse control for nav etc
    -supposed noise-reducing windshield
    -very comfy sport seats


    (on the one I tried, the backup camera display was in the nav display)

    The NAV is a hard drive based system with 8" LCD fold down screen. I believe Prius has 7".

    it also has better graphics on the nav than USDM Prius/Toyotas, and it is HDD nav with 10 GB space and much faster mapping.

    its sound system is also a lot more superior to Prius than what 8 vs 10 speakers difference suggest... as with any luxury car, difference has to be felt, not just read.

    Also, I don't know where the energy flow indicator is on the Gen3 prius, but on the CT, it's right on the instrument cluster in a nice compact form

    I'm going to test drive one this summer and find out.

    I'm hoping for better seating, better stereo and less rattle. Rattle from the bass + loud radio, not due to road/tire vibrations.

    Better USB integration. I so do hate burning CD's of MP3's when I could simply use a cheap USB stick, or my MP3 player.

    Well the Prius' outside mirrors are heated.
    And the VIP RS3200 accessory has the glass breakage sensor in it.
    I assumed you were talking about the Prius 5. But the Prius 4 also has a couple of things on it that you can't get on the CT.
    Besides the plasma cluster there's the solar roof.

    But the CT also has the Nav App for your iPhone. Now if either one can get an app that will remote start the car that'll swing me totally in that direction.

    On the Gen 3, the energy flow indicator is part of the HSI displays to the right of the speedometer. The arrows are too small on it to be easily visible and Gen 3 owners think that screen basically useless now anyway.

    The above screen looks almost identical to the indicator on the HyCam.

    I just test-drove the CT200h at lunch, what an amazing car.

    I'm only getting 16k Can$ for my 2010 G3 when I still owe 25k on it.

    Below is an article about the Performance Lateral Dampers and why the CE decided to include them.

    The video below has the product strategy presentation that includes the graphs. You can see the benefits of the performance lateral dampers (starting at 3:40) visually in graphs.

    Most european models get performance dampers only in top equipments :(

    Very interesting, one slide shows in sport mode, the HSD simulates a 6 speed transmission to enchance performance. The Honda Civic Hybrid does the same thing, doing a step change in the CVT.

    thats in Japan only.. their model has paddles behind the steering wheel and you can "shift" on your own with virtual gears... i tried it in Avensis with S-CVT and it worked really well as it provided more natural sound/feel and also gave you proper engine braking...

    I test drove the CT200h a week ago. As a Prius owner I can appreciate the differences as pointed out by chatters in this thread and others.
    To summarize it I would say:
    The Prius was designed with one goal in mind: fuel economy+cleaniness, many other aspects people look for in cars were, to certain extent, compromised to meet this important goal. In this respect - the Prius is an extreme car.
    The CT is a more balanced car, it is also a luxury one and thus, it is very interesting to me.
