Saturday i bought a Prius II 2011 Barcellona red . Turn my lease in (Chevy Silverado) and drove the Prius back home . So far im very happy with it . i drove 350 miles with 51.5 mpg on the computer . im glad i found this forum , many info for a new owner thank you Riccardo
Welcome and Aloha, Like Spidey said read the book you and your Prius need to get to know each other. I guess you did not need a truck anymore? Did you look in to the Silverado Hybrid at all? You should like the ride and the economy. There is nothing like $30 something dollar fill ups. I would also check your tire pressures coming from the dealer you would think they would be good but usually there not. There are many threads here regarding tire pressure you can search for them. Enjoy!
In 5yrs, take the miles you've put on the Prius instead of the Silverado and divide that by what you feel is your honest average lifetime MPG (I estimate 49mpg) and multiply the result by $3/ga (or higher depending on where gas prices go). You'll likely be amazed. I did the above calculation after selling the truck.To date I estimate I have saved $19,258 in fuel over 128,000 miles of driving the Prius over the Z71. Despite fun like this: I still like the Prius more.
Isn't raw horsepower fun. It's also fun to watch the gas gauge needle drop as you hammer that foot peddle. Riccardo, welcome to the forum and to Prius ownership.
