Gen III 17" wheels on a Prius II?

    New to the forums....I apologize for asking what I suspect is a repeated question.

    I might be buying a PII this weekend.

    Can I buy, after market, the 17" wheels that come with a PV and install them on the PII?

    Am I correct they will provide a bit of a smoother ride?

    I'm not sure. I've never been in a car with the OEM17s. If anything though, they will be a bit stiffer due to the thinner sidewall.

    I guess that depends on your definition of "smoother." If smoother to you means less floaty and wavering around, then yes, the 17s will give you that. However, if smooth to you means less harsh, then you are better off sticking with the 15s. The thinner sidewalls will give you a harsher, yet firmer, ride.
