    :cheer2:

im getting my first Prius on monday, Orion Blue T Spirit with Dark interior, im so excited, cant wait, my interest was captured many years ago reading an article on the hybrid system and i nearly had a Gen 11 but felt it had a few too many compromises, and the BMW shaded it but the BM has been a big disappointment, the extended demo Prius i had for 5 days in the summer it proved to me it was far better for my needs than the BM so ive been counted down the days since ordering in September, and it feels like im finally getting it

Congrats on you new purchase and welcome to the Prius family! So you ordered it in September and just now about to get it? Wow, they must really be back-ordered in the UK. Either that or the T Spirit is a rare version?

I've just ordered a new T Spirit plus Safety Pack (pretty much the equivalent of the Americans' Prius Five with ATP) and been quoted a 16 week delivery time.

wow... they're really testing your patience over in the UK (that or most of the production is heading elsewhere like the US and the UK's demand is outstripping supply).

Are there any on the showroom floor or available for test drives?

I had no difficulty organising a Toyota corporate demonstrator for an extended (four day) test drive.

    Congrats...

I like that your automobile designations in the UK sound like e.e. cummings Poems.

"Orion Blue T Spirit with Dark interior".

Sounds so much more exciting than Prius Five with Charcoal interior....

Geez, after waiting all this time, Toyota put the steering wheel on the wrong side! Well, looks like you're stuck with it now. LOL

That's nice of them. Our test drives are usually 20-30 mins.

    That's nice of Toyota GB!

lol. But the Prius is Japanese, so technically it's on the right side :p

    LOL

First drive today, only managed 22 miles to work and back and the temp is than 0 here at the moment, bit disappointed to get 57mpg (US 47) driving like a nun, the same drive in the simmer in a run in model gave me 75 (US 62)

perhaps it will improve with mileage and warmer temps, and my pulse and glide improves!

no dash (yet!) gowd i hope not i cant avoid noises and will after spraying the gaps with WD40 if it still did it would have to be a screwdriver job!

one of two noises at the back though,of course worse than my previous BMW but not too far off in terms of quality and all things considered i prefer the prius after 2 days,

round trip to liverpool gave 67mpg 54% better than the BM so happy days, plus far more relaxed journey and the auto through the city was amazing

adrianp - why was the BMW a disappointment? Was it just the mpg?
