Entirely Prius unrelated, but I just felt like sharing my new car. ...relax. I've still got my Sora. Wouldn't ditch him for the world. 1990 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo: I know, I know. It rather defeats the purpose of owning a Prius, but as a 20 year old boy, I need to have something to make up for it. So there it is.
I had an 85 300ZXturbo... With a TT kit... A Vette killer... but with some issues of it's own... like the WATCHING THE TACHOMETER and BOOST. A heavy iron American sports car... with a big V8... doesn't mean you are always gonna win anymore Stateside...not so much. But it CAN help... If you know how to drive. Just saying...
Hahaha. I know exactly what you mean. The only vette I've found that can really beat these things are the new ZR1s (one of my dream cars)
Ahhh the good ol' Prius and sports car 1-2 punch, as I call it. Very nice. I would pair a Lexus ISx with my Prius but then we're talking an extra 20 minutes in the morning to decide which one to take to work. And a serious money issue.
Damn...I feel you there. Decisions decisions. Plus, the IS line is just a bit out of my price range. ;p
That's a very clean car - obviously modified. What was done to it? What does the dyno sheet look like? Also: If you're 20, doesn't that mean that the car is older than you?
Not sure what's been done to it quite yet. I need to find a place in the area that can give me a full diagnostic. Stock, they'll do 300hp and 300 torque, but I don't think it's completely stock, by far. And yes...it's a year older than me. Before this one, I had a white 1991 though.
Completely stock? 300 hp and 300 torque. 0 - 60 in 5 seconds. Top speed GOVERNED to 155. This one? ...who knows? I'd really like to get it dyno'd.
Haha...on a good day....maybe 13mpg? It's a sports car, you don't worry about mpg. That's what the Prius is for. Haha.
You could go E85 with an injector and sparkplug upgrade given that the turbos look upgraded already and probably put out quite a bit more than 300hp. I'm also told that the governor is easy to disable. I don't know what kind of engine management solution you'd need though.
