I flipped through a Car&Driver at a magazine stand today. Sounded like they liked it. Good handling, range about as advertised. I'll read it closer when my copy comes in the mail.

ok trunk size. here is pic. tape measure is out to 24". the main size of trunk is 39 inches long, 23 inches wide and 20 inches deep to top of trunk cover which can be removed. with the cover there is a 23 " wide tray with about 15 inches of clearance to the roof line.

on pic 3 we have the energy screen. we did about 4 stops today and this screen resets. but normally, it would tell you how much energy was used for climate controls and "other systems" which is lights, radio, etc.

the gauge on the left is the power meter so it tells you instantaneous power output or regen. as you can also see; it will tell you how much range you will lose by turning on climate controls. it was pretty cold today being around 38º when this pic was taken. i was toggling both heat and defrost enough to stay pretty warm but i dont require a lot of heat.

lol, you mean for those 5 people jobs with only 4 seats! I'd never dream of that but have seen it done!

I just wanted to know what the boot size was and whether it would be suitable for an idea of mine. Looking at the pics the boot looks about the size of a Golfs and probably not big enough. :(

I think he is still thinking of live bodies.

I have no idea what to tip a cabbie to move dead bodies from the crime scene. I may need more practice.

Wait a minute! I may not want a Leaf after all. I didn't know that the maintenance plan for a Leaf called for a dentist, and so early in its life, too??

And the car has autopilot mode to get to the dentist?

    :)

Besides reports on the Leaf, don't forget to update us on the power and gas bill changes.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking you're thinking?

just as i did with my Zenn and my Priuses, i will report to the penny what it cost me to drive the vehicle. now this excludes maintenance cost which basically makes the Prius look a lot better than it is.

I am sure you have been asked a lot already but...

I would love to see posts of real world trips and remaining charge.

I don't know, what are you thinking? If you're thinking what I think you're thinking I'm thinking, then you might be right. I would be very very tempted IF I could get a 30 min fast charger installed in the town somewhere, other wise I just couldn't risk it. Thing is, Nissan UK have no plans to provide Leaf support in my entire county despite it being quite affluent and full of Prii. I have no idea why they have chosen to exlude the largest and most populated county in the whole of the UK from having Leaf support! Perhaps they employ ex-GM managers! :(

although 220 charging is available, i did not get that installed. i want a portable option that can be simply plugged in then moved around. that way i can take it with me since i am a renter

pic 1; plugged into the front of car.

pic 2. charging options; 440 DC quick charge on the left. 110/220 AC on the right.

    pic 3; the plug.

for anyone who was lucky enough to test the PLEV Pri, my cord also has the brick with about 14" of cord from the plug to the wall. so to plug it in and not put undue wear on my Kill A Watt, i have to bungy the brick to hold it up.

they conveniently placed so eyelets on the brick and now i know why
