My windshield wiper spray doesn't work. The juice just kind of sputters out, it doesn't shoot out. The tank is full, and the rear-window wiper nozzle works fine. What are some things I can do to troubleshoot this?
Sounds like something is clogging the washer fluid nozzle hole(s). You can try to clear them out with a straight pin or needle. An unfolded paper clip may work, but if it doesn't fit without forcing it, STOP. You don't want to goober up the hole and get an erratic spray pattern. If this doesn't work, you may need to unhook the tube for the washer fluid at the nozzle and try to "back flush" the nozzle with some water/fluid. FWIW, the hole in the nozzle is in a small spherical bead. You can re-aim the fliud streams by inserting the pin/needle/clip deeply in the nozzle hole and then twisting the bead to re-aim it. Be careful, small changes can result in large changes in the spray pattern. (Don't ask how I know. )
I'll take a look tomorrow. I tried the toothbrush + vinegar trick tonight but may need to do a pin. I'll post results.
