I didn't vote for any of the silly poll answers. But Fred's is precisely the place for anything anyone wants to talk about. Some threads I never read. So if someone starts a thread that doesn't interest me, it does me no harm. So what's the problem?

Obviously, those who keep visiting and writing on them are not. How are they hurting you....don't read them. Would be a shame if you might pick up a thing or two.
We are all fanatical nutcases in our own ways. Religion is one person's science, while art is another person's religion. Different points of view can provide insight into our own lives too. However, I voted "You're all going to hell," because that's the most accurate statement in the list of choices
I have been on many different automobile forums. I have never been on one with so much discussion about religion. Not even close. I have come to the conclusion that many right wing wackos prefer the Prius.
Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads? that's a good thing, right? if they would just stay off priuschat!
I have no religious views*, this annoys theists and atheists alike. I do not need any discussion of religion on Prius chat but it does not alarm me. *I believe my lack of an opinion about the existence of gods unknown does not effect whether or not they actually do exist. A remarkable number of people find this objectionable.
Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads? Religion is politics. Ha! The Prius isn't a visceral car, it's a cerebral car, whether it appeals to your inner geeks, inner greens, inner greenbacks or a combination of the 3 it appealed to your brain. A forum of people who bought a car with their brains are going to use their brains and express opinions.
Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads? TRUTH...:rockon::rockon: Many in the headlights of religion don't get that... BTW... I never tire of debate... I have swayed some, and have been swayed myself from time to time... As an ordained UFL Minister, with a strong catholic upbringing, I must say... I enjoy the banter... and currently lean towards pastafarianism because of the beer fountains and pirates... because we all know that pirates are an important indicator of religious righteousness... You don't think so... read about the moors... or the crusades... or the western expansion of the Americas, or the the conquests of saladin...
Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads? Damnit, twitchy finger made me choose the wrong one! But if the hate, name calling and other disparagement towards religion and those that believe could be reduced I'm quite sure those that fight fire with fire would be more than willing to tone it down too. As it stands now it's about 100 to 1. Just my .02 cents.
Re: Who's Tired of Religious Threads? I'm sorry guys and gals but if you have problems with the threads dealing with religion then don't read them. I don't believe that anyone is standing next to you saying read this post/thread or else your sheep gets it. Someone posted earlier that they've taken part in many car forums and this never occired. Once of the things I actually enjoy about PC is the catch all FHOP. If the mods deceide to get rid of religious threads then I home they also get rid of the religion based smilies. Ryan
