2010 new Prius II blue/gray Just had my beloved 08 barcelona red totaled on Christmas Eve. Bought a new 2010 Prius II, metallic ribbon blue, floor mats and bember guard for 22,800. I opted for 0% financing over the $1000 rebate. This is in Alaska where shipping is higher at just under $900. Happy to say that though I t-boned an uninsured pizza deliver guy in his 92 Buick when he failed to look for oncoming traffic when attempting a left turn at a t-intersection - I was not seriously hurt. Was going about 35 in a 50, it was dark and snowing, and my front end was destroyed, driver airbag deployed (I was thankfully alone), I passed out momentarily and came to over the median looking at oncoming traffic. I even had the sense to find my hazard light switch, and grab my phone to dail 911. I hope this is my first and last ambulance ride, and did not enjoy Christmas eve in the ER or the next few days of pain and sleep, but I', happy to be not seriously injured, happy my insurance covered my loss and medical bills (guy was uninsured, want to bet that State Farm goes after the pizza company?), and getting used to my new Prius. My only regret is that the backup camera is now part of the nav pkg which is useless in a town with no connecting roads, and isn't even ordered here. I did like the backup camera. There's a lot to get used to on the 2010 vs the 2008. And I always wanted blue! Now awaiting my weatherguard floor mats.... Be safe, and watch out for inattentive drivers.
I just got 2010 Prius II 2010 Blizzard Pearl with mat. I saw the newspaper advertisement at $18,990. I called them to confirm the stock. I've also ask them whether they can make Blizzard Pearl and adding mats with that price. The dealer said yes so we had a deal. Therefore, after $1500 rebate, the total purchase price was $18,990 + tax, tag and processing = $20,580. Now I am looking for the seat cover.^^
Nice deal! Last August I used a quote from a northern VA dealership to seal a deal w/ a Central PA dealership. At the time the VA dealership (at Tyson's Corners I think) had something like 300 or 400 Priuses on their lot.
Just told by the dealer that silver needs to be transported and had to wait couple of days for it to arrive. Not sure if 24800 is is the right price. Based on following the forum postings it seems to be good price, but wanted to take your suggestions and tips to see if I can squeeze in bit more. As regards to the options can you suggest the things I could ask the dealer to throw in like toyoguard, bumper guard, mats etc. Do not understand what is important amongst theses. Please let me know what I need to ask? Also is TINTING a good option? How much would it cost? Is it needed for PRIUS considering I have sunroof. Considering I have a toddler, I am thinking of it as a necessity. But I am interested in your input Any good financing options who can give less than 2.9% interest rate?
My credit union had 2.49% so I was planning to use that but the business manager offered me 1.99% so I took that on top of the cash back.
Do you mind sharing the details? Is it Toyota Financing that gave you 1.99%? Mine is DCU and 2.49% is better. What CU is it? Did you take PRIUS III with NAV and SOLAR package? What did you pay OTD?
No I got a Prius II then added Katzkin leather and a Rosen Nav with backup camera. I use BCU for the 2.49% then Toyota Financial offered to match and I declined. Then they came in lower with 1.99% which I took.
hmm,,, What is Katzkin leather? Learning my way. How much did it cost you to add Rosen Nav. One of my friends has Prius II. Did you do it on your own. I saw the youtube video posted on this very useful forum, not sure if I could attempt it on my own.
Katzkin is just one of the main manufacturers/suppliers of after market leather. I wanted leather and a navigation package w/backup camera but if I went factory, I would have to get the Prius IV with the nav package and I didn't see that anywhere for under $27,500. I didn't want to spend that much so this was the route I went and saved quite a bit. The IV has a few other things over the II as well but I wasn't that interested in them, at least not enough to pay that much more. I ended up paying $23,835 + TTL. It's hard to break down the cost of each because I negotiated the whole package. On the initial dealer quote, I wanna say the leather and heated seats were around $1600 and the navigation was around $1900 with the camera package. I later found out I could have just gone to the installer directly and probably saved more but I thought I would have to go through the dealer to maintain all Toyota warranties which I'm still not sure if that's the case or not. At any rate, I still felt more comfortable having the dealer take care of it since they said they'd take care of any warranty issues if they came up (probably dealer BS but I have it in writing so at least I have something to go back on if ever needed) I've seen prices for the nav unit itself for around $900-1300. I'm not sure how much more the camera (and install) adds, but that's something my wife really wanted. I also asked the installer how much they charge for the leather seats and they quoted around $1000. So I might have been able to save a little more but I mentioned my reasoning above for the route I went. Hope that helps! P.S. the Rosen Nav is nice and looks factory; it has some quirks but also some cool features (you can find more info on the Rosen threads) I like it more than the factory Nav. So far the seats are nice, very comparable to the factory leather as far as I can tell.
Also, if your $24,800 price includes TTL on a Prius III with solar pkg, I think it's a pretty good deal. The best I could find for that package was $24,900 before TTL but this was last month so I think prices have gone down a little clearing out the 2010s.
Glad I bought last week. The incentives here actually went down this month. The $1,000.00 rebate is now $750, and the 0% interest is now .9%.
Hello, I was wondering if I got a good lease deal, I just leased my Prius: 2011 Prius II, Blizzard Pearl w/floormats. I used the 2010 national deal but got a 2011. So... 0 down (668 out of pocket due to acquisition fee, license, and 1st month payment) 15,000 miles a year 0 for Blizzard Pearl choice 36 month lease, w/2 year ToyotaCare Total with tax and 15000k: $282/month ??
If you do a search on the forum of "Toyoguard" you will find most people think it is a waste of money. I had the dealer tint my windows and love it. I think it adds to the look of the car as well as helping with the summer heat here in Georgia. I did see it valued from a dealer at $399, but it would probably cost less than that at an independent shop. I also got side moldings and mats as my options.
I just took delivery of my prius 2 with floor and cargo mats, and rear bumper applique. Free car washes for life, & 25000 mile/ 2year maintenance included. Paid $21,510 prior to tax, registration, tires fee, and inspection. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I believe gas prices are going much higher as the world's economy climbs. Even if they don't, I just wanted it.
I just bought a brand new spankin' 2010 Prius II in Blue Ribbon Metallic. Sat in Tustin Toyota for an hour or two ... OTD for $23,500 (mats and rear bumper applique). Ugh at the fact the tax is pretty much 10% for me I feel bad for my mom. She's going to have a hard time learning how to drive the Prius.
I just (1 week) purchased the same car / same options here in Mi. OTD for $23,000...Not a "Terrific" deal, but I wanted to Get/Er/Don...A tree fell on my "05" & totaled it!
Just purchased a 2010 Prius V in Winter Grey, with the advanced technology package for 26,900. It stickered for 33,800. It was a dealer car and had 4900 miles on it. So far I'm VERY happy with the deal I got.
