    those are available in Japan... I'm thinking of getting one..... I've seen two styles of that light (so far)...

    1: these cost about 28,500 yen (add tax and shipping to cost) - these are available in clear housing and red housing

    The version 2 looks better, full LED.
    I don't think these will cost only 28K yen. Maybe at least 28K yen each.
    Headlights and other taillights for the Prius straight from Japan cost way more than
    28Kyen. I would suspect before purchase.
    IMO...

    Yeah but how do they compare to a set of replacement taillights if you got one from your Toyota dealer?

    @priustexasbob.... not sure but on my Gen 2 I was using Japan spec headlights and taillights and never been pulled over....

    @laki007.... yahoo auction japan...

    @KK6PD.. thanks for doing the conversions..... the yen has been strong these past few months (hence making it more expensive for us to purchase those items)

    @drunkin master... those are the prices (28,500 yen and 38,500 yen) then add tax, shipping (2 shipping - seller to my friend in Japan and from Japan to USA) and a little commission my friend collects for doing all the work in Japan (purchasing and shipping)..... for the ver 2 my friend estimated that I would be spending between $650-$700 shipped here in the US (still subject to change depending on current conversion rates)
