Has anyone tried the leather seat covers from L C Auto Interior Upholstery (Real Leather on Ebay) They quoted me $399 for a 2010 Prius kit (front and rear seats) in 2-tone leather with perforated inserts. Add another $99 each for carbon fiber front seat heaters and it's about half the cost of Katzkins. You don't get the door panel or center armrest pieces.
It sounds almost too good to be true. The door panel difference is no biggie, the Katzkins only includes flat precut pieces for you to glue on over the old door panel fuzzy stuff after you take the fuzzy parts off the door panel assemblies. One 52 inch by 36 inch yard of vinyl upholstery is all that takes to do all 4 doors. You can do the front center rest yourself too, that has been covered on PC. If the rear center rest isn't included the rear will look like crap. That is not a make it yourself item.
I just order the Clazzio Leather Seat Covers for $390. These were a special order in ivory, because the tan is to dark and does not match the bisque. xs650, I need to lookup the posts on door inserts, because that would be the finishing touch.
I still haven't done my door inserts, I will take pictures and document it when I do. Don't hold your breath though, I have lot of inertia.
Their eBay store has 'em at $69 each. I guess their $99 quote was for a pair when included with the leather. BTW - they claim their leather kit's 100% leather - front, back and sides.
Please post pics of the finished product. I have a light grey interior and would like to change it to something dark. My car is black.
