I've been noticing that when I brake more responsively, I feel a bump/notch right before a complete stop. Anyone else get this? It feels like something that has to do with the transmission.

Mine has done something similar once or twice in 37k miles. Just as you're coming to a holt there's a very slight jump, judder or slip just as you pull up. It would worry me if it happens alot. It appears to happen when the car is hot after many hours of hard driving.

My money is on it being a transmission issue but could equally be wet friction brakes?

It happens quite often. I remember feeling it when I got the car brand new. My car is barely over 1k.

Could be the switch over from regen to friction brakes.

I've felt it but honestly it never worried me.

I would love to visit Edinburgh one more time...Let me know if you want to house swap next year...Orlando is great in the Winter.

Yes, this is when the regen fades and the hydraulic brakes are brought in to stop the car. Regen can't work down to zero RPM, and it definitely can't hold the car.

Unfortunately it's almost impossible to get the "feel" the exact same between the 2, so you can notice the changeover. The feel varies somewhat depending on temperature, brake pad/rotor condition, etc. Once you know it's there, it's just something you get used to and it's not a problem.
