I found a picture of my Verso in the same angle as the Tease #3. It could well be that the V in Prius V stands for Verso...;) I see a lot of parallels.

Navigare, I think it's obvious that the new Prius V is essentially a European-market Toyota Verso "tall wagon" that has been modified with a hybrid drivetrain. Indeed, the other car coming in the Prius line, the Prius C, is probably based on the Verso S/Ractis that just came out in Europe and Japan.

Although i would love the idea of "my new Verso hybrid", because i really like my current car and the hybrid technology, i am not sure you are right. I also read reports of an increase of 30 cm compared to the current Verso, which seems logical to me. The car is introduced in the States and you guys are used to much bigger cars than the Europeans. Mainly because your asses are a lot bigger....;)

Ten? That's something that would be perfect if it could get 35+ mpg! I don't know about the other specs but they seem a bit excessive to me. Although I plan on having many children :)

The problem is, the Prius didn't look like it had the 3rd row of seats. Since the batteries are traditionally placed in the hatch floor, I hope that isn't going to be an excuse for not having the 3rd row of seats....

I'm beginning to come to terms with the lack of a 3rd row in the new Prius V. This is a deal breaker for our family. Guess we'll stick with our "gas hog" 24 mpg Mazda5 until a higher mpg 6+ seater comes along :(

I'm somewhat less than convinced. The Prius and Verso are spec'd at the same length, so I made the attached animation.

BTW, I think the piece marked "CARGO ROO" in the current version of the original post should be moved two slots to the right based on the fact that its lighting does match the pieces surrounding it.

:mod: Good Catch! I see what you are seeing, and I totally agree with you.
So then, perhaps the complete text is "more cargo room"

Dang. How'd I miss that? I could see that the coloring was off but chalked it up to pieces coming from different places.

    Thanks!

If you have a piece with a funky background, send it to me and I'll fix it for you.

Thanks for the offer. I just might take you up on that as time goes on.

Another clue as to no 3rd row, is there is no upper seat belt attachment for the 3rd row, even if it would have been pictured folded down. With the limited load/weight capacity of the prius, I really don't see much advantage to having a larger hatch area. No 3rd row really kills the deal.

You don't need seatbelts. When you are not hauling groceries in the back, the cargo net flips over to fully cover the front side of the third row and double as a child restraint system. :D

The 3rd row seat belts attach to the tailgate pillars. We don't have those puzzle pieces yet. The Highlander Hybrid has 3rd row seating and there are lots of photos of this in the Toyota Highlander photo gallery. How about a 2011 Highlander photo overlay?

Google images has a jpg of the puzzle from cleanmpg showing piece 20. Link takes you to Tony's image without piece 20. Can't find the piece or puzzle image on cleanmpg at all.

What were you searching to get the image? I made a post at CleanMPG that references the same online version this thread does.

If you search for "prius teaser 3", it's the sixth one that shows up under google images. It just looks like an older version to me, but piece 20 does appear to be there.

Not late to the party I hope? Number 15 here. Look for the reflection of the dash display in the sunroof glass.
