Sup guys, first real post on the thread, but i figured i could get some feedback.

First off ill explain how i got to the point of even considering this, i sold my Merc SL55 AMG recently and because the dealer decided to kill me on the trade, i took everything possible off the car that i could sell to recoop some of the loss. So out came the built in K40 radar detector with radar jammer.

If you dont know what these are, the are probably one of the top radars on the market, even above most peoples favorite the Valentine One. It retails about $1200 for a basic system. It has to be built in to the car and has no evidence that it exists except for 3 little bulbs that flash and make sounds when there are radars present.

That being said i havent found a lot of people just aren't in the market for this thing given the cost and difficulty to install. So i figured screw it, ill just put it in the prius. But i have NO clue where to put the bulbs... so i wanted everyones advice on where they think they should go? normally they are installed near the speedometer but given the dash on the prius i dont think itll look right there. The next option is just above the steering wheel but it would require some very permanent holes in the dash, which i dont really want to do.

anyways open to any feedback or suggestions... thanks guys!

if i pull the trigger ill definitely show pics...

Try wiring it through the speaker grill in the front and center of your dash, and mount it somewhere on top of there. Do you have any pictures of it? I have no idea what this thing looks like.

Or you could just wait to put it in another car. Whether or not you're speeding in your Prius, cops may be more lenient with a Prius. You might want to "save it."

Go for it.... Above the rear view mirror would work, I hid my Bel head unit betwen the Cup holders... I like to know where the Chp's are, I listen for "That Sound" and then look for the Chp unit.. I usually spot it within 20 sec... What can I say, LA freeways can get dull and boring...

OH man sweet install, thats not a bad location, only trouble is you usually want the K40 bulbs in forward viewing area, the beeps it makes are pretty soft and can easily be missed if you have the radio up...

i keep trying to post pics of a typical install but im not allowed to put links up yet
