Can you pls post photos of your odometer showing 299,999 and also the trip odometer? I'm surprised that the trip odometer will display 10K miles, and am wondering what the cut-off will be.

The trip counter maxes out at 9,999 and drops back round to 0.

Sorry for confusion, i meant it went over 9999 miles (back to 0).

I will have to post some picture of the car one day. I will probably be banned from the site if i ever do. It has had a hard life, been off road more times than i can remember.
The front bumper is missing the lower section and the grille between the fog lights.
The fog light glass is broken and missing pieces.
The radiator and radiator mounts are bent backwards (doesnt interfere with the fan) I had to replace one of the inverter hoses.
A lot of whats left of the front bumper is missing paint. Toyota paint sucks.
Hood has a lot of pitting from stones.
Wheel liners and under car air deflectors are gone.
Windshield has several large cracks and dozens of chips. Still passes inspection so havent changed it yet.
Back of the car looks like a typical 5 year old car.

    :)

My '04 was in a nasty hailstorm. Now when I look at the car I think of people who must have had horrendous acne during adolescence.

    I'd like to see that!
You wouldn't be banned by someone like me, your Prius wears its battle scars with pride after covering the ground it has covered.

^^ It sounds like driving off-road with too little clearance. He has had amazingly little else go wrong.

And I've been concerned about the 62K on my 2006! At 70 miles a day it'll take me 14 years to get to 300K. Assuming I don't bend it like I did a few weeks ago (minor 5mph accident = $4500) it might go that far.

Hey is that a typo 314, if u got urs after me and have more miles than i do, i give u the utmost respect, only cause i know what i do and how many miles a day i drive, and yes i did change the left tail light 2 times, and I change the gear oil 1st at 135,000 and the 2nd at 225,000 I will probably change it when I reach 300,000. So far the prius has been good to me. Almost there 293,000 and counting.

I cannot believe that 300,000 me club will have 2009 MY in it. What do u do for a living and how can you justify payingfor half your Prius from just gas savings alone....amazing!!

I think he's just having some fun with us and hasn't really gone that far (his odo reading are the digits of Pi). I'll bet that he's really only done 271828.18 miles.

Hey, maybe he has gone 577215.6649 miles. I just realized that I am at 311,600 km with my 2004 Prius. Can I join the club?

I am a courier delivering medical supplies and medicine. I will say compared to my dodge caravan that i sometimes use. I am at around $40 a day between 46 and 50 mpg with prius, double that with the van at 24 mpg savings at about $250 a week 40 x 4 days plus 2 weekends, I say about $1000 a month x 24 I say gas savings payed for my prius. Lets see cost of repairs for 2 years prius 3 tires at $750, 2 spark plugs about 50, 2 gear oil changes another $50, 2 pcv $10, 4 light bulbs about $45 lest see thats lets than $1000 that puts me at $23,000 savings with gas over using van. I say the prius is a winner. fYI i am at around 294,000 hoping the 2009 will let me go past 300,000 if not i will probably trade, dealer said he'd give me around 7,000 for it anyway will see. Sorry forgot to add oil changes $30 synthetic every 10,000, lets see 30 x 24= $720

I mean 300,000 miles most people would be planning on their 3rd or 4th one by now

that is still a pretty awesome statistic. every single delivery requires brakes but yes, a hybrid can utilize regen for a large portion of that. still i think the mileage you have is nothing. there are a bunch here that will eventually do the same. but 300,000 miles without a brake job?? now that is an accomplishment!!

Please don't trade it in. Keep it to reach the highest mileage Prius recognition. Toyota may even replace it with a brand new Prius -- to tear your Prius apart to study and improve reliability.

Is there a way to find what the highest mileage prius is, Also if the odometer doesnt go past 300 how does one prove what his or her mileage is.
