JBL No Bass

The JBL system doesn't have much bass to begin with. Perhaps its normal?

 

depends what your media is. if it's radio, it could be the signal. Plug in your iPod or use a CD and play some normally base-heavy music. That will be an easy indicator.

My JBL bass is pretty substantial. Not subwoofer good, but better than average for a car.

I have had people look over at my car, when the music I have the music loud, and there is sudden loud bass in the music. I have the JBL music system. I turned the bass down, it was anoying other drivers. Its not a subwoofer bass, but its definately hearable.

 

Even at normal levels and with not very extreme music, my stock JBL system will make the rear view mirror vibrate and excite rattles in the doors. I think you've got something wrong, but there are some folks here that are used to more highly powered custom installations and may say the JBL system sucks.

 

Concur with others, the JBL has OK bass (will vibrate mirrors) but it can't hold a candle to the factory option Harmon Kardon with sub in my wife's Cube. In the grass is always greener world, folks on the nissan forum diss' it as wimpy.

 

Interesting. I've always thought Harmon Kardon bass was better than JBL for multimedia speakers too. I guess all across the board H/K is better than JBL.

 

A - Are you sure ALL speakers are working and putting out sound approx the other speakers?
B - Veify that you have gotten into the Audio setup menu and adjusted all 3 level adjusts as well as the Balance contol. Dd you get satisfactory results with adjustments
C - What is your souce of audio, and do you get same results on any input?

I felt the bass lacking on my JBL in the '08. I added a simple, but effective powered subwoofer to my system. Maye that mght be an answer to your problem.

how can you tell if you have the premium jbl system or just regular??

 

It will say JBL on the tweeter speaker grille.

 

Do you have a factory installed amp under your front seat?
