Is there a way to keep the screen on map and still have the audio show? I tried this with dual screen but it only appears to stay in maps when I do this. I find myself switching to audio often so I can see what song is playing on xm.
I RTFM last night as I just bought my 2010 IV and it talked about when you are on the audio screen you can set it to be the main screen. It is talked about on the last 10 pgs or so in the FM.
The Nav system defaults to the MAP screen after 20 seconds. If you do not want to automatically switch back to the MAP screen, go to SETUP and select GENERAL. Then select AUTO SCREEN CHANGE and select OFF. Then it will remain on the screen selected until changed manually. Page 236 in the NAV manual.
Let me be clearer . . . I would like to have the map screen plus the audio screen at the same time and on the same screen. Is this clearer?
Quite clear, and with a simple answer - no. If you're viewing the map screen there's no way to see the audio information (except volume while you're changing it). And if you're viewing the audio screen there's no way to pop up the map on the same screen as a split display. You just have to live with pushing the "MAP" and "AUDIO" buttons next to the display to show one or the other.
On a 2012 Prius 4 w/ solar and thus 7.1 Nav this doable. As stated turn off up auto screen. Then with map screen up,, press map mode button and select screen you want. I have mine split as requested often
Unless you change the split screen mode to show both the map and audio... I've done this myself and it seems to work fine except I can't stand looking at the ugly map on the nav. I only ever have the audio screen up on mine now. I'd be happier if the stupid unit didn't even have a nav.
