I am a new owner of a Gen III type 2. The owners manual often references the TPMS and indicates where the switch should be. My car does not have one. The manual never mentions "if equipped" when referring to TPMS, so I am assuming that all Gen III Prius should have it. Is it something that my dealer neglected to install, or do Gen III type 2 versions not come with TPMS?
Welcome. TPMS is a Federal requirement since Sept. 2007 so you musn't be looking in the right place. It's a black button (as memory serves) way down low & at least for me a little bit of a PITA to reach.
