I searched the forum and could not find anything. Im wondering where I can find a European Front plate holder and License plate. Here in Indiana we are not required to have a front plate, so I think it would look good with a European plate.........

    Why?

Would it not be better to have a Japanese plate?

On the subject of European licence plates, would it be to replicate the numbers and/or letters of your US licence plate? Also, which country code would you use for the left hand side of the plate and would you legally be able to display it? How would your local police react to a phoney Polish or UK licence plate on your car?

The other problem you might have is how to get the licence plate. In many Euro countries you can only have them issued by government departments and here in the UK you can get plates issued only if you have all the required paperwork.

They make them for the US. I found a European style plate for my state of indiana. We are not required to have a front plate on our cars in Indiana. Im looking for the plastic mounting bracket that comes with the car. The bracket that came with my car is much smaller than the European one.......This is for the front bumper

I believe there's a UK dealer who is happy to ship to the US. Some members on here have used them before. I am not entirely sure who they are but I think it is Pentagon Toyota in Sheffield, UK. They sell many Toyota items on ebay.co.uk including the LHD convex side mirrors which some forum members have purchased.

I suppose it's worth a quick message to their ebay shop to see if they will sell the Euro sized mounting bracket. All I would say is that you will have to pay the normal UK price which will be much higher than you're used to and then you will have international shipping. I suppose it depends how much you want it.

    Check out; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pentagon-T...=1823061&_sid=169618416&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

I would add that I have never used their services so can't comment on how reliable they are, so take the usual ebay precautions.

I think the Euro style license plate is tacky and pointless. It'd definitely look like you're trying too hard.

I like Grumpy's original idea of using a Japanese license plate instead. Check out Supreme's car. He is from Philly but here he looks like he's straight up Yakuza!

Sure, I like them too! But on a Japanese car it's odd.

Now what I really hate is when people slap their California plate over a European plate. I've seen it a couple times. Here in Silicon Valley, people are just too in love with their image. What are they trying to say? Lol.

You're very lucky that Indiana law doesn't require front plates. You can get so creative. Good luck, show us pics when finished!

lol. You're thinking too deep into this.

States/provinces/territories that don't require front licence plates usually allow anything on the front. Europe-style plates, or other vanity plates such as Scouts Canada, Ducks Unlimited, something representing which legion you belong to etc etc. The possibilities are endless. For me, I have a Northwest Territory licence plate (that would be the polar bear shaped licence plate)

I could easily have a front UK plate with the word "PRIUS" on it if I wanted or some fake number combination from any EU country (I've seen a few old school polish plates and a few new EU German plates...mostly on European cars). Japanese cars tend to have Japanese licence plates but they're much rarer (guess European car owners love the Euro plates?)
