I am new guy shoping seriously for a prius. I put a deposit on a 07 pkg 3 touring, with 44k miles today. They are asking 14k... Guess I am looking for moral support to spend 14k on a car. I have spent big money on trucks that could work for me.... but never more than 5K on a car for commuting. I do commute 75 miles a day and have a few hundred miles while on the job that I get paid back at fed rate. Please let me know your thoughts.

This car is certified used with warranties etc.... and 2.9% financing. Thanks in advance.... should I buy.... I will be really studying the forum.... FYI.. two co workers have them already....so I have learned a lot from them. Thanks.

my wife and I just picked up an 08 pkg 6 with 38K for $15.5K so it sounds like it's in the ballpark. We had been commuting (700 mi/wk) in a Santa Fe, so the monthly gas savings are HUGE! So far, we're happy campers. And we still have the Santa Fe for those rough winter mornings. Good luck!

seems like a fair deal to me, although i wouldn't hesitate to try and get them down a little more or maybe some free maintenance.:)

14K is a good price but I dont like the 2.9% financing one bit.

take it at 14k. ask for a carfax and clear title. certification doesn't mean that much. It's a different kind of car. I save $50/week gasoline truck vs prius. Welcome.

I know... who likes financing... but five kids, one bread winner...... someday maybe when the kids move out I can pay cash for a car !

The best part is turning a profit on the IRS' mileage rate.

Yes I hope to... well I own it!! have driven it about 20 miles so far 48 mpg per display... I will get about 400 miles on my commuting this week. I will be ready on here evey night I am sure. I like the HID headlights...but the fogs appear weak and corny. Thanks

The fogs are for show (same on my 2000 Intrigue). Happy commuting.

2.9% is close to free money. Interest rates have never been better. I could pay cash for my car but why? I am earning 15% dividend interest in stocks. That is 12% gain to me.

Borrowing money can be your friend if you do it right.

Some people don't have a choice either.
