I don't think I could drive a sedan again

    Don't know but it can't be worse than the IS300 SportCross. For starters, the TSX looks better (I also find it funny that marketing in the US requires the word sport in front of everything... our Jetta wagon is called the wagon, not the sportwagen).

    Also, oddly enough, Acura Canada decided they'll hold off the launch of the TSX Sportwagon :eek:

    I just bought a 46" TV and the Prius just swallowed it like it's nothing. Looks like it can fit a 60" no problem!

    I don't know about the 60" though. The rear wheel wells could get in the way. Flat-panel tvs are not meant to be transported horizontally, but I'm sure many people have done it w/o consequence. I guess it's a liability thing. Just in case you hit a huge bump and the glass flexes. The bigger the panel, greater the risk.

    edit:

    I just measured my 58" plasma and it can fit. Have to lose the box at the store though. Do they dispose for the customer?

    With box, lying flat on the, guess, flat trunk.

    I've never heard of anybody transporting a flat panel tv vertically. If you are carrying a big screen tv and you still drive like in racing tracks then don't blame me for suggesting you to carry the tv horizontally!

    If you need to take it out of the box first make sure you bubble wrap the tv thoroughly. You can always fold the box flat to carry it home and keep it for a little while in case you need to return the tv for any reasons.

    I had a 2006 Honda Civic diesel like this - it was amazingly practical. The rear seats folded down like a normal hatch, but the bases also folded up; I got a 40 inch plasma loaded straight in flat across the car (flat floor too) and the rear doors opened right up to 90 degrees. There was also a double-deck rear hatch (no spare). Brilliant car, but too sporty for both my partner and parents so traded it in after 3 1/2 years.

    Wow. That's a beautiful car (had to delete the image because I'm too new to this site). I have the 1999 version of this car, doing pretty well at 250k miles. If they bring this to the US, it'll most likely be my next car! Hatchbacks are probably the most useful configuration I've found. I've transported a 5-piece dining set, a full bale of hay and two kids, and various other stuff that would otherwise have required either a minivan or a truck.

    I have always had a station wagon, minivan or Jeep to be my "work truck" to be able to haul things. We got rid of the minivan when we bought my wife's 2007 Honda Accord. I was concerned about getting rid of my Jeep when I bought the Prius.

    I have been amazed at what we have been able to carry in the Prius. Of course I can no longer carry a 4X8 sheet of plywood, but have been able to carry most everything else. I have had to have Lowe's cut up some of the lumber for me but that has not been an issue.

    My wife picks up outdated food at grocery stores once a month for a group that feeds the homeless. She pulled up to unload last weekend and the guy that runs the place could not believe that she had all of the food in the car.

    It looks like the hatchback may become my work truck from now on.
