    Hi all,

Just became the proud owner of a brand new (6 miles!) 2010 Prius IV w/solar/nav in Winter Gray Metallic. Since I'm unabashedly nerdy, I simply can't stop pushing the display buttons non-stop to watch the little pseudo 3D holo light show on the dash.

Now would probably be a good time to start searching threads for button replacement. Oy.

Welcome and congrats! Do you mind telling us why you picked instead of other choices?

I won't lie, the 0% APR 0% down promo for a year-end model certainly helped. As far as other hybrid choices, I didn't think any others come close to the Prius. Plus, it'll be a long time before we get sexy-but-not-zillion-dollar-sporty-hybrids. I'm an mpg first, tech second, green third type person.

I also believe that buying a Toyota after major drama is a good thing, kinda like flying after a plane crash. All eyes on deck.

lol.. actually I used this cheat sheet that my friend sent to me. It has all the Japanese katakana characters and sounds =). That's how I translated toyota.jp to give you guys the Prius Features & Specs for Japan (although I realise most of you will probably just see rectangles cause you don't have an asian language support installed in Windows or Mac)

Portland, OR area actually does pretty well. Saw a presentation a while back that showed only the farthest NW area of OR (Astoria) as significantly hindered for solar gain.

Even Seattle gets better insolation than Germany, which is far ahead of us in actually applying solar power.
