After similar threads have successfully been started and made sticky for 2Gen, here it is for the 3 Gen Prius. Probably only professional drivers may have achieve it already... Come on. Give your impressions and memories for record. As usual, also please post information about your ownership experience. Some questions to think of... 1) Did you replace the HV battery pack? 2) Did you replace the hybrid transaxle fluid? 3) Did you replace the brake pads? 4) Your lifetime MPG (if available)? 5) How often do you change your oil? What brand / product did you use? 6) How about post a picture of 100,000 miles on ODO? 7) Others
Anyone? Well, perhaps is too soon, it would mean an awesome daily average, wouldn't it? What if there was a prize for the first user that reaches 100k mark?... Better not, our Prii still make an impact to the environment...
I have 43,000 miles. 1) Did you replace the HV battery pack? No 2) Did you replace the hybrid transaxle fluid? Yes 3) Did you replace the brake pads? No 4) Your lifetime MPG (if available)? about 58 MPG 5) How often do you change your oil? What brand / product did you use? 5K Mobil 1 6) How about post a picture of 100,000 miles on ODO? I will post one below 7) Others This is my last car. I will have 100K on the Prius in 15 months.
Well, time is running, so are many odos, I'll put up this thread again, just to find and congratulate the first 100kmiler on a 3Gen in PC.
53K and climbing.. Not that I want to get there fast. (that is when my extended warranty runs out ) Curious to see who gets there first.
Well, clock is ticking, so does odometers... I don't know if you've been aware, but in the 299k+ in 2Gen forum there is some posters with no mercy on the throttle...(2 fast 4 u) Come on, show us who is the first 3Gen to prove 100k! Coffee granted when coming to Portugal!:welcome:
Probably you will be the first? Great, prepare yourself for a bitter but tasteful "portuguese" cup of coffee Meanwhile we watch...a great movie...of one unstoppable 3Gen Priusopcorn:
I'm not close to 100k, but your offer tempts me to put the pedal to the metal. I'd love another bica or two or three!
GrumpyCabbie drives a G3 as a taxi, but according to his profile he has only done 111 fill ups. So I would guess 50K to 60K miles? That's still 150 miles a day, every day for a year.
Yes, "bica" for southern Portugal, "café" for northern Portugal Coming to my country, you only have to send me a pm, I will offer you a "café", even if not close to 100k. I had a conversation with him, and you are correct.
It's too early for me to post 100K, but I'm planning on joining this club when my time comes. In fact, I'm hoping for a 200K club, but I won't live long enough for that.
Off Topic: I'll give a plug for Portugal and someone to take up telmo744 up on the offer. I've been there 2x, once on vacation and once for business and both times were great. The people were fantastic, the seafood spectacular (Boston, San Francisco, and San Diego don't come close, Florida maybe) and the drive along the coast and through little villages was wonderful. I think it's a gem and will go back when finances allow. Fortunately for me, there is a sizeable Portuguese population in the area so along with some good bakeries, I've found a fish market that gets deliveries from Portugal on Thursday! Yum! PS. I forgot to mention the wines & port! The husband just opened up a wine from the Douro region to have with dinner. Nice.
Tell me about this high mile (mile high) club. Does qualification require a Prius and a friend or can qualification be accomplished in a Denver hotel room? :cheer2:
Yes, we're going into a very offtopic area, but a thumbs up, that is ok! I'll be happy to show you Douro Valley, also. And of course, you are always :welcome:
