It's been one of the driest summers here in recent history. I've noticed quite a bit of static electricity when I leave the vehicle. Am I correct in thinking, that the static electricity only harms me, and not the car, or it's hybrid electrical system? November is coming, and with it the rain and definitely cooler weather. Not sure how big of an issue this will be over the winter, but I'm guessing not that much. What do you folk think?
And to answer your question, yes. You are correct in thinking that static electric discharge you experience during normal use won't harm the hybrid system or the car. I suppose if you built up a large enough charge and then started pulling the dash apart and messing around with the various ECUs or other electronic components directly, you might be able to damage something.
Hey! You can have my leisure suit when you pry it off my cold, dead husk of a body! (just kidding, I don't even own a leisure suit ) It was either that reply, or something to do with the 70s. I am too tired to come up with anything wittier.
