You test drove the car before you bought it right? They do tend to ride a little on the stiff side but its not that bad at all. Check tire pressure as another member suggested.

I know it is all a matter of personal preferences, but I have never felt my Prius had a rough ride. Maybe get a whoopee cushion without the noise maker?

Keep driving it and see if it gets worn in. But don't lower your tire psi anymore. 32 psi is quite low, but ok. Any lower and you risk wearing the edges of your tires faster.

Rough compared to what? My 2010 Prius is much quieter than my 2005 CR-V. We can finally have conversations without raising our voices. If I were replacing the CR-V today, we would get a second Prius, but since the CR-V is also very reliable, I'll have to wait another 2-3yrs. Then I can get me a PHV Prius!

Narrow spare tires are inflated to much higher pressures, so every bump is going to crack your back. This is true for any car. You need to purchase a normal tire asap. Riding on a narrow spare isn't safe for long.

I take my IV to dealership in the morning. It doesn't ride smooth like my 06 did. On delivery it had 25psi in three and 22psi in the othere. My rear view mirror is lose. The drive part is going to hard to explain. Feel I will be advised it's normal. Just don't understand why the ride is rough when I hit bump or anything other than smooth with no defect roads. Car appears to have set for 6 months per the inspection sticker being March. Car was dead and dealership installed new battery. I had hoped my 2nd Prius would be pleasant and running with no issus. There is some strange issue with the system. My low air pressure light comes on and stays on and sometime during the day it goes off. Nothing consistant to keep me sane. Nice to read posting on the ride. Maybe my answer will be the same

The tire pressure is way too low. Check your driver's door for recommended pressures. In general, most drivers inflate to 38/40 PSI.

The springs are so darn hard, you can't push it down by pushing down on the hood.
I can do ths easily with my 4 other non-prius cars.
I got two 2010 Prius II and the springs behave the same on both, so Toyota must have do it this way for a reason. May be car is too heavy and afraid on over leaning at turns. Or hard spriing is cheaper?

Sorry, look like you have to live with it.

My IV rides like a light compact hatchback, which is what it is. Actually like the ride -- handles expansion joints like an audi a3 -- nicely dampened. If the road is rough is doesn't isolate you from bumps like car with larger suspension components but I find it comfortable around town or on the highway.

Based on this thread, it seems that people who can't spell think their Prius rides rough. Go figure.
