The new light-weight (weight and durability) paint/clear coat that is used doesn't seem to be very enduring. My blue IV has the ghosts of alot of bug splats etched into the bumper's clear coat. Waxing didn't seem to assist in enhancing the durability of the paint job. May help in masking swirl marks tho. What else can you do? At the rate the clear coat is disappearing this thing is going to weigh next to nothing ultimately. :(

When I bought mine (and joined the forum) a couple weeks ago, I had this problem too with my blue. I first looked up on the top right of the priuschat.com page and searched "swirl marks" in the search box. Lots of results came up.

My solution was to use the toyoguard paint sealant that came with the car. Worked great. Try and get two coats on in the first application if you have time. Worked great for me.
