Well, I drive about 82 miles one way to work each day, so that in combination with vacations and other miscellaneous driving pushed me over the 200K mark last night.

I have changed my oil every 5K, put on a couple of sets of tires, and two headlights - that's it. I'm still running the original brakes all around, which when recently inspected, was told that they are in great condition. Wonder if I can make 300K with them...?

As mentioned previously in this thread, I burn about a quart of oil between changes. But, the manual stated it's normal, and that unless it's burning a quart every 600 miles, then there's no issue.

Starting to think about one of the next generation of Prius's, but can't justify the car payment, and I'm hearing mixed things about the comfort / interior design.

    Edit: I guess I should mention it's a 2007...

I just bought my Prius in May and it only has 8200 on it.

However, I need to comment on the following:

I got my Prius because my 2000 Ford Focus with 205,000 miles was t-boned.

I never got my letter from Dear Henry.

If I can get a Ford to 200,000, I'm confident I will get my Prius that far.

It'll be the beginning of next month before I hit 300,000.

Congratulations, maybe you'll decide to be the founding member of the 300K mile club.

I think a couple other people on this forum beat me to 300,000.
In two weeks my wifes car will be in the 200,000 club also. But its a 2007 Kia Optima, not a prius. I also have a Suburban with 217,000 miles.

I'll have to write up a full service history for the prius when I get to 300. The Kia has already cost me at least double to maintain.

I went over 200k this month on my 2005 Prius. I've had her since day one. I have had a similar experience. Luckily, I've only had to replace the water pump, brake actuator (under warranty), replaced front brakes, 1 rear tail light. I'm due to bring her in to the dealership to get major preventative repairs done soon.

Sorry for late reply, was busy putting another 400km on the odo,

Not really much to share due to it's reliability but,

    Bought new in June 06
    Replaced front rotors[discs]at 195,000km[Neighbour,€50]
    Preventative Maintenance replacing,Water pump,inverter coolant pump,thermostat,serpentine belt,pcv valve at 213,000km,[Dealer,labour only,€160]
    Replaced 12v battery at 240,000km,[Myself]
My Toyota dealer replaced front struts [FOC]at 240,000km,
Replaced passenger side CV boot at about 250,000km[Dealer,€90,part and labour]

I've been servicing the car myself every 15,000km since Jan 09,

Is there a 'Stuck at 299,999 miles club?'

Ive been at 299,999 miles for the last week (1000+ miles). Any fix for the odo not reading above 299?

How about a photo of that?

Regarding a fix, install a new combination meter?
(That may not be helpful since the new meter will start at 0 miles.)

I suppose that the Toyota engineers designing the combination meter did not expect the Prius to last beyond 299,999 miles...Guess we won't have a 300,000 mile club.

I created 300,000 mile club back in April. I noted you in it. So far, nobody posted there yet.

Probably because they can't post a photo of the odometer at 300,000 miles?

I know your in Europe, but from what I have read, Canadian Toyota drivers are having the same issues with the odometer. The 2002-2008 Corolla, Matrix and the GM Vibe, all fail to register more than 299,999 miles (or 299,999 Kilometers).

Toyota has really let its self down again. Search online for '299999 toyota' and its clear its a common problem. No recall as of yet.

GM is apparently taking care of its Vibe owners. I have seen prices quoted between $525 and $800 to replace the odo. Im not going to pay more to replace the odo than the whole car has cost me in repairs to get to 300k.

This is my business vehicle, I need to track mileage for the IRS.

So, are you using the trip odometer to keep track of your miles driven since 299,999?

Very interesting, I'm guessing other Toyota cars don't stop at 299,999?

I wonder if this will causes issues when doing registration/vehicle inspections.
