I'd like to have a set of turn signal mirrors but not sure where's the best place to get them. There's of course Sigma http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/jdm/prius_zvw30/ext_signalmirror.jpg Then I found this on ebay PRIUS 2010 LED turn signal small ground light cover: eBay Motors (item 290476180689 end time Oct-15-10 21:07:52 PDT) The finish looks white. I know that Sigma is genuine Toyota parts but the ebay price looks pretty temping. The LEDs don't look half bad either. Has anyone ordered one from ebay? Also if you have sigma mirrors on yours, how much was the total cost including tax and shipping to your city?

I too was looking for some mirrors with turn signals. I was tempted by the ones they had at Sigma, but I guess the mirrors don't come in my car's color (WGM) since it is not a JDM color.
I saw the ones from eBay... very tempting, but I am not sure if they come with wiring instructions.

for the ebay signals, just ask the seller if it includes wiring instructions.

The wiring instruction is easy, a common ground wire for all LEDs, a + the yellow LED, a + the white LED, and a + the blue. That's all you need. As for wiring for the car, all the wires are in the kick panel.

Per the eBay seller, the kit comes with very basic wiring instructions but they still recommend professional installation.

Yup... they come unpainted. So you can have them painted, wrapped in vinyl...

Are you talking about the Sigma cover or the eBay cover? The ebay cover is white. Not sure how well it matches the BP.

Talking about the eBay ones... It looks white but if you read the description the seller provided, it says the covers come unpainted.

seems like a quality paintjob would run the ebay option's price up close to the sigma option, no?

It comes unpainted but it has to start with a color right? It's not invisible. According to the pictures the covers are matte white.
Sigma doesn't have winter gray metallic so doesn't matter where WGM owners get the mirror covers from. S/he would have to get it painted to match the OEM paint.

The question still remains. What would be the better choice.

All the Prii here (European, Gen III) do have the turn lights "in" the body of the mirror.
Are USA or Canada models different? If yes, where the turn lights are installed?
To MO it would be better to have separate turn lights and mirrors. If you brake one (turn light or mirror) it will be less expensive to replace it. Here in Greece with the bikes passing in/between the cars it is very easy the combined mirror/turn light to be damaged.

The US turn signals are above the fog lights and in the tail lights. That's it. There's no 3rd light on the mirror light the euros, aus and jpn have. Cars in the blind spots will not see the turn signal lights. That's why I want turn signal mirrors. To me It's a safety feature that Toyota didn't include.

Thank you cproaudio for your quick reply. I absolutely agree with you. To MO it is a very serious fault of Toyota. Αs far as I know ALL the cars have either the 3rd turn light in the mirror body or at least at the side of the car, in/between the front wheel/front door.

That's because it's required in your country. It's not required in Canada or the US so manufacturers tend to leave it out.

For those of you considering the signal mirror option, have you guys thought about this?
They are LED arrows that stick on to the mirrors.
I'm considering adding these when if I decide to order signal mirrors from Sigma Automotive. Any thoughts?
