Official 2010 Prius Owners Pics

Oh yes, it was the longest wait ever we had for a car. But since we ticked every optin available on the option list after choosing the top model version and no leather. It was a built to order.

A few little problems though. The style pack mouldings on the bottom of the doors have been applied incorrectly and not straight. Not very good but a new replacement set has been ordered. I now also notice the brakes squeak a lot, never had that on new brakes before it sounds like a wear indicator is tripping. And then there is the iPod connection kit, my wives nano seems to loose connection each time the vehicle shuts down. I have to physically take out the cable and plug it back in.

Otherwise big grins. Bit surprised it came in normal Michelin primacy hp tyres. I expected some low rolling resistance but hey I am not complaining. I took it out last night just to check the led headlights and wow. They are definitely worth it. They are White and super bright. But I especially like the very wide throw if the light great on tiny little country lanes which is where we live.

 

Odd how they build the models differently. I really wanted the solar roof, but in the uk that meant no toys at all.

Here it has all to do with taxation in the end we now have a vehicle that is rate at £0 road tax. Is excempt from congestion charging in London. Came with three years free servicing, five years warranty. And in fuel for the school run is 3-4 times more economical.

 

I got bored and swapped wheels with my friend. Also CF wrapped the plastic under the emblems. Still undecided on the color. Its a love hate relationship and I think I might change them to gunmetal until my real wheels come.

We picked ours up the past Friday night, a 2010 IV. It is sporting new Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires. This picture was taken right after the car was "clay-bar'd" to remove some rail dust and two coats of Zaino Brothers polish.

 

After only 3 coats of Zaino, I stopped by the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Notice the shape of both the bridge and Prius are similar, like modern works of art.

Just bought my prius III with solar package 3 days ago. I'm a full time student and commute 120 miles round trip twice a week for school and 90 miles round trip every 3rd day for work so this car is well needed. I've been dreaming about getting this exact car since the gen 3 was revealed. I just wish I weren't so friggin busy so I could play around with the car more! If I ever get the time, I'll get my Nikon d60 out and take some high quality pics. In the meantime.... here's my iphone pic of my new baby. I'm probably going to name her Electra.... if only I had waited a couple months and gotten a plug in... then she really would be an Electra.
